Position Paper

The German associations BDH, B.KWK, BTGA, BWP, HKI, VDMA and ZVSHK advocate the introduction of BIM in Germany to ensure that VDI 3805 is used as the standard for the exchange of manufacturer data in the area of building services. This paper outlines that ultimately all technical and geometrical data of a product can be transferred using the VDI 3805 and, in the future, ISO 16757.
